- Hello, I am Armilyn Nix, creator of Fashion Cards, a collection of correspondence cards that celebrates fashion. Unlike similar mass-market cards, each Fashion Card utilizes recycled and vintage fabrics, which are transformed into hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind objects of art. Each can be given as a gift, sent by mail or framed as a keepsake. As an avid vintage shopper, I saw many beautifully crafted garments that were clearly at the last leg of their use. Instead of discarding the clothes that would otherwise lay in landfills, I saw a potential in repurposing the fabrics. Also, the items are purchased from non-profit thrift store organizations that provide special services to local communities.
